About the Board
The Town of Tonawanda Library Board works closely with Dorinda Darden, the Library Director and Town of Tonawanda Councilwoman Lisa Chimera, as the governing body of the Town of Tonawanda Library branches of the Buffalo and Erie County Library System. Each Library Board member is a Town of Tonawanda resident and serves for a five-year term.
While the operating budget for the libraries is funded by Erie County, the buildings itself are owned by the town. The Library Board takes a proactive approach in managing the library and is continually evaluating library needs and improvement to encourage usage and insures that the libraries meet the needs of the citizens in the community.
