The latest, more environmentally-friendly process the Town of Tonawanda uses is to take the waste to a facility where it is burned and is eventually turned into electricity.
The Town can no longer collect CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) television sets. To find a drop off location near you, click HERE
Listed below are the holidays that will be observed by the Town of Tonawanda in 2023. All town offices will be closed and all garbage, recycling, and trash collections will be ONE DAY LATE except where noted.

Did you know that damaged totes may be fixed or, depending on the damage, replaced with no additional charges to the homeowner?
In order to have your damaged tote fixed or replaced, simply call the Town of Tonawanda Highway Department’s Sanitation Line at (716) 875-8822 and give us your name and address and we’ll be happy to accommodate you.
Additional totes may be purchased by submitting a form to the Town of Tonawanda Clerk’s Office, located at 2919 Delaware Avenue, Room 14, Kenmore, New York 14217 (716) 877-8800. Order forms are available on-line as well.
