MEMERSHIPS AVAILABLE FOR JEFFERSON KIDS CLUB
Jefferson Kids Club, operated by the Town of Tonawanda Youth, Parks and Recreation Department, is accepting new members for the 2019-20 school year. Kids Club is open 3:00-6:00pm September 3, 2019-June 25, 2020 for children ages 4-11, up to and including sixth grade. Kids Club highlights include homework help, arts and crafts, enrichment activities, and use of our gymnasium, game room, lounge, computer lab, playground, and outdoor space. Members can also participate in field trips and special events as scheduled. Kids Club memberships include access to Jefferson on all regular school days and early release days (following the Ken-Ton School District calendar). Monthly memberships are available for $140 per child; discounts available for siblings and Access Card holders. If you’d rather pay by the day than get a membership, Kids Club offers a $10 drop-in fee for regular school days when the facility is open 3-6, and $20 drop-in fee for early release days when the facility is open 12-6pm.
Jefferson also offers a Vacation Club from 8am to 6pm on full days that school is closed, such as Veterans Day, Superintendent Conference Day, and February break. Vacation Club memberships are $35 per day or $25 per day for Kids Club members. You must get a Vacation Club membership at least two weeks in advance.
The Youth, Parks & Recreation department moved its Kids Club and Summer Camp programs into the former Thomas Jefferson Elementary School in March, from its former location in Mang Park. The new facility provides more space and amenities such as a gymnasium, locker rooms, and auditorium, and allows YPR to serve more families. The department also hosts events there occasionally, such as Kids Night Out and Family Fun Nights, as well as weekly Middle School Nights which will resume in late fall.
