Sanitation
Weekly Garbage Collection
Efficient, litter-free, packer-type vehicles collect garbage weekly. To minimize health hazards, all refuse should be thoroughly drained and placed in sealed containers. Other refuse, including furniture and rubble, is also collected weekly. Burnable refuse is utilized by a solid waste-to-energy facility in Niagara Falls where the by-product is electricity.

Fall Leaf Collection
In the fall, leaves are collected from the rights of way and used for soil revitalization at no cost to the town.

Curbside-Recycling Program
The town also has a comprehensive curbside-recycling program that collects glass, cans, plastic and paper products weekly.

Household Hazardous Waste Facility
The town has a permitted Household Hazardous Waste facility used to store waste paint, waste oil, anti-freeze and automotive batteries prior to disposal. These items are collected curbside on a weekly basis.
